Oct 01, 2018 - It's been two years since I first wrote in this space about 100 Men Who Give A Damn Hamilton-Wentworth, an organization just starting in the city at the time. And they've made great strides since then. There's the $61,000 they've raised, of course; money that has gone to support local non-profit organizations, which in turn help so many in the city. And there's more than that. There's the sense of shared purpose the members feel, getting together as they do four times yearly, 100 of them, more or less, each bringing $100, for a total of close to $10,000 a meeting.
Sept 05, 2018 - Growing up in a tight-knit community where people recognized the importance of giving back was what motivated Jeremiah Pike to set up the Hamilton chapter of 100 Men Who Give a Damn with his brother, Nathan. Read full article on looklocalmagazine.com.
May 23, 2017 - It's a mixer of sorts — the carers and the damn-givers. And no matter which group they belong to — 100 Women Who Care or 100 Men Who Give a Damn — all who come out to the first-ever joint meeting (June 20) in Hamilton are bound by common purpose and shared experience. Helping local causes.
Oct 04, 2016 - Do you give a damn about your community? You likely do and so does 100 Men Who Give A Damn Hamilton-Wentworth Chapter. I was intrigued by the power of joining forces and curious by the name and the group's purpose and mandate. I wanted to learn more about this collective and find out how I could get involved. Through research, I found out there are many local community groups of women, men and kids across Canada and the U.S. formed with a similar title "100 Women, Men or Kids…." all for a common purpose to make a difference to the lives of their neighbours, local charities and the community overall.
Mar 07, 2016 - Jeremiah and Nat Pike with Megan Hoernke, Founder of 100 Women Who Care Hamilton-Wentworth. For the last several years Hamilton and Burlington have had chapters of an organization called 11 Women Who Care. Now the men are starting: Jeremiah Pike and his brother Nathan, fairly new to Hamilton, are two very interesting guys and they're starting up a 100 Men Who Care group in Hamilton, the first in the area, and one of only a very few in Canada.
